Heatherington Scholars in Public Health Application

    The Heatherington Scholars in Public Health scholarship honors Willamette alumnus Jeff Heatherington L.H.D. ‘65, President of FamilyCare Health and the Heatherington Foundation, in recognition of Jeff’s extraordinary commitment to public health and to public health education. Jeff’s leadership in healthcare and business reflects a career imbued with values he honed at Willamette.

    To be considered for the Heatherington Scholars in Public Health scholarship at Willamette, we require the following:

    • A completed application for admission, including all required documents; and,
    • The Heatherington Scholars in Public Health scholarship application.

    Your scholarship application will not be reviewed until you have completed both your application for admission, including submission of all required documents, this form and other scholarship requirements.

    Please ensure that you have the following items prepared prior to beginning this application:

    • An essay describing how and when you became interested in public health, 250 words minimum; and,
    • An essay describing one or more ways in which you have been engaged in public or community health, 250 words minimum.
